Um. He didn't take more pills than he was supposed to. He wasn't an addict.

He mixed prescriptions that he didn't know were bad/lethal in combination. He didn't know. That's why it was an accident.

I dunno about you, but I grew up being taught not to mix pills without first checking with a doctor, as a matter of fact it's standard advice on every pill instruction sheet ever. it's as basic as not mixing pills/alcohol.
it's a BAD IDEA. people, even famous people, have died from the same thing before.
he fucked up. he's not perfect. he should have known better.
that doesn't mean I didn't think he was awesome, but I'm not going to be all 'poor heath' because he did it to himself and now his daughter suffers, just like the original secret said.

also: if you read the reports he WAS addicted to the pills. He was taking more than he should. Taking multiple types is the same as taking lots of one. he couldn't sleep without them. that's a serious issue.
