I was planning on making a secret like this myself! Also I liked Peggy/Daniel, and the thought of her just dropping him when Steve made a reappearance just isn't how I want to think of Peggy. My personal headcanon is that he went back to a later point (maybe '72) so he still had some time with her, but it doesn't shit all over the TV series.

YES! Apart from everything else I also liked Daniel a lot. Season 2 of Agent Carter was a mixed bag, but I was rooting for them to get together in the end.

I think if we never found out that Peggy's life was happy (with an awesome job she loved, a husband and children), it might have been easier to swallow? (Not that I wanted misery and pining for her, but ya know... if there had been more mystery about her life?)
