Oooh, sounds like it's time to sign up with Spotify.

Yeah, I've always preferred other composers to Uematsu but I was surprised at how much of his stuff I genuinely enjoyed from FFX, not just the tracks done with or by other people.

Ooh, yes, if this is the push you need absolutely take it! It's the best $10 a month I spend, hands-down. (You can still run it for free, too, it just has ads.)

X's soundtrack is sort of hit or miss with me, just due to the feeling of it being like... Uematsu found his first electric guitar and he's just WAILING on that sucker, LMAO. But there's some really good tracks in there for sure. To Zanarkand still gets me a little misty. The one that really surprised me was XIV, actually; a lot of it is collaborative, but a good chunk of the soundtracks are just him, and they're actually amazing. Maybe he works better when there's other people involved as well, and he's not 100% overseeing the soundtrack?
