I would really like to see more shonen-style anime and manga featuring girls. I love all my sports anime, I like isekai when it's not hopelessly pervy, and My Hero Academia is a lot of fun when I can forget Mineta exists, but... can we get some more girls? With actual character development, who aren't just there to jiggle and giggle and be rescued or whatever?

I know, I can watch shojo... but moe bores me, and most romance in anime is tedious.
Maybe I should just rewatch Ouran...

I'm with you on hopeful and happy scifi. Same with fantasy. I want more hopeful fantasy.

I *love* dystopic Sci-Fi, it's one of my favourite themes and genres. But I'm in 100% agreement with you because I can have too much of a good thing. I just think I'm over the same themes repeating by this point and something different would be nice.

In terms of genres I'd like to see more of: It's got better but I still think we're a long way off parity when it comes to Male Coming of Age Vs Female Coming of Age. And for the latter it would be nice to have more along the lines of it being a relatively positive experience rather than female puberty being hell on earth (and obvs you hate your mother!) while boys get to go out bonding with everyone and generally having awesome adventures.

Pose has got me really wanting historic queer found family dramas.

And weird west but queer, or just more weird west.

Science fantasy that's reminiscent of European comics, but good.

Maybe some spy thriller sort of thing but with well-developed characters.

I'm tired of lazy writing with magic pills that give you spy skills and the amnesiac assassin thing.

I am at my sister's house and will be going home tomorrow. Can't wait to sleep in my own bed. Will have a ton of laundry to do. That is going to suck!

Working both days, alas, but I did want more hours, so I can't complain. My husband will be here tomorrow and he's got the next 2 weeks off so that will be nice, and hopefully I will have week after next off as well, so we can spend some time together.

Sitting in a Subway near the airport, waiting for my parents' flight to get in. Should be about 20 minutes, but who knows?
The got a nice morning for it, though - overcast and mild, and I didn't even have to scrape ice off the windshield before I left!

Job searching. Watching Criminal Minds. Playing with my cat. I have a meeting early Sunday morning. other than that, relaxing. My parents are away until next Saturday, so I have the house to myself. But I'm extremely broke, so I can't actually go anywhere.
