I lost a friend to a heart attack. He grabbed my arm and gurgled through his mouth, and in the next second he was dead. He knew he was about to die and tried not to.

Smaug didn't want to go either. It's the grabbing at the air that gets me. I know he is a villain but the way he dies is just...sad to me. Sad and spooky.
