I get confused every time I hear people mention Steve McQueen, forgetting there is also apparently a director with that name.

That's really not that far out of his character, to be honest. It's obviously a much darker interpretation of it than anything he's done previously but not that fundamentally different.

FTR, Ismail Merchant, the Merchant of Merchant Ivory, was born Ismail Rahman - he was an Indian Muslim. And James Ivory was his life partner, as well as his business partner.

At some point I thought Chris Sarandon and Susan Sarandon were siblings.

No, they were married for kind of a long time, but divorced before I saw either of them in anything.

I also, at some point, thought Tyne Daly was Tim Daly's mom - nope, they're siblings. I don't know why, she's only ten years older than him, but I think I thought he was younger than he actually is (he's 63, now).
