Text: It continues to boggle my mind that the last two episodes of Hornblower were written by E.L. James' husband.

I keep fluctuating between two thoughts;

1. Maybe that's why they weren't that great.

2. Is it possible E.L. James wrote kinky Hornblower fic?

And if the answer to 2 is yes, do I want to know more?

Loyalty and Duty, the ones where Horatio winds up getting married and Kennedy isn't present at all. They were released in 2003 and wound up being the last of the miniseries to get made, which I've always been somewhat sad about.

I didn't like the marriage plot, partly because I'm a slasher, partly because the ceremony felt a bit drawn out. Tho nurvous Hornblower is cute. Huh, maybe some fanfiction was involved in the creation of the movies...

Just to cite my sources: https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/books/2012/12/19/james-interview-fifty-shades/1767497/

I was kind of astonished when I found out.
