Weirdly, I did have this problem with John Watson's wife. At least in the Downey movies. Which is nearly doubly weird, because those have to be the single slashiest incarnation I've ever seen.

Maybe Jude Law just has great chemistry with everyone?

I didn't ship that version of Holmes and Watson, but I definitely felt like the movies were suggesting I should. I loved that version of Mary and wanted to watch her just go solve all the mysteries herself (maybe team up with Noomi Rapace). In BBC Sherlock, I did ship Johnlock and while I liked that version of Mary fine, she definitely didn't get in the way of the shipping for me.
