I sometimes worry about actors/celebrities from my OTPs dying also. I don't think about it a lot, but I have fleeting thoughts occasionally which dart through my brain. I suppose I just wanted you to know that you're not alone. It makes me sad too.

I've never considered this, I don't read RPF but I guess it could be a bigger issue there. I get upset when actors I like pass away too especially when it's before their time. (but then again when is it not)

I think if an actor for a character i ship died, I wouldn't be able to read any of that fic. Just feels disrespectful, I guess.

Why? The actor is not the character. Try shipping 140 year old characters who have been played by many actors, many of whom who are now dead...

It's happened in two of my ships (I have some older fandoms) and it didn't stop me shipping or writing fic. Maybe I didn't associate the actor as strongly with the character as some fans do?
