THIS. I've heard some of my coworkers whining about why do I get so many hours when they get so few, etc., and the bitchy part of me wants to tell them that it's because I actually a) show up on time and don't call out unless I'm genuinely too sick to come in, b) stay late if it's needed, and c) do my goddamn work while I'm here. Amazing, they want to give me more hours because I'm actually responsible.

I'd be happy to have so few hours, but I also currently live with my parents. Get paid but not have your entire life taken up.

I hate it when people don't take responsibility for their own shortcomings. Like they couldn't possibly be crap at their job, it must be some OTHER reason why they're not getting more hours. Frankly, this sounds like a poor management issue, too.
