I'm on vacation in Calabasas, California. It's nice here today, I went bird watching and saw a species of hummingbird I'd never seen before (Allen's hummingbird; they are curious little things who will approach you to see what you're all about), so that was exciting. I'm going to get sushi for dinner tonight and read some more of the new novel I just started.

Drank too much coffee, made green chili chicken, played some online chess. Trying to slog through the end of Stranger Things S2 so I can get to S3. Anxiety. Those are the headlines.

Right now I am getting ready to eat dinner. Monday are my meeting days so spent all day in those. Slowly losing my will to live as people argue about colors and how forms should be filled out. @.@

Had to work late, got into a stupid argument with my mom on the phone as I was driving home, stopped at the store for a couple things, got dinner, came home and ate, made up with my mom, and now I'm wasting time on the internet lol

Had the Monstrous' boyfriend help me hang up a bracket on the porch and DIY life-hack an iffy flagpole so I could hang my American Pride Flag up.

Worked, and now I want to watch television but I finished Stranger Things and caught up with The Handmaid's Tale so I'm not sure what to watch.

I’m making a life priorities grid. I want to ask for a pay rise at the same time as asking for less quantity of work. Tricky balance.

Made some marmalade. A relative has a kumquat tree and doesn't know what to do with all the fruit. In my opinion kumquats make the best marmalade.
