The diversity argument loses a lot of weight when a black person is cast instead though. By far the most represented minority group around, as well as the easiest to cash in on.

Why not Chinese? Or Korean? Or Native American? Or Aborigine? Or Inuit? Or Indian? Any of those would be actually underrepresented, but every single time this comes up it's a black person, and it just reeks of a marketing push.
