He really, really was. And like, to a certain extent a sitcom character's actions can be excused by "well they're a character in a sitcom and the writers don't take the ethical implications of things into consideration, because har har, it funny." But with Ross, it wasn't just the occasional blip where he'd do something that would be psychotic in real life. It was his entire character. He was constantly petty, selfish, passive aggressive, and jealous. It was basically his entire character, with the occasional genuinely thoughtful moment thrown in.

I have a lot of Ross hate bottled up, sorry. I like the show, and I even recognize that Ross was a fundamental and necessary part of the show. But man, I hate that guy.
