not everyone, but when 85% of representation discourse revolves around good omen or spn, it's fair to be suspicious

sure, if 85% of representation discourse revolves around good omens or spn, it's fair to be suspicious of those fandoms

which are not all fandoms, and a dumb reason to suspect all fandoms overall based on the fandoms of two juggernaut shows with two white male leads?

(Anonymous) 2019-07-18 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
for me at least it's the sheer ubiquitous popularity that those kinds of shows get.

you get canon LGBT in some shows being popular sure, but man, they'll never be able to touch white fanon slash when it comes down to it.

has there ever been a fandom where canon ships have dominated fanon ships?

i don't feel that fanon popularity is a good gauge of anything; of course fanon will be more popular in fandom because everyone happy with canon has no reason to make fanworks

true of both lgbt and het fandoms, i mean, look at zutara, harmony, reylo

Wynonna Earp

okay, let me rephrase that: in what percentage of fandoms is canon more popular than fanon? cause it's sure not 'most' or anything near it

(Anonymous) 2019-07-18 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
Most het juggernauts are canon tho

Torchwood.

What part about Aziraphale and Crowley screams straight? Like at best canon-wise they're gay, at worst they're ace.

Not going to lie

I am dubious about this statistic

DA but same. Especially since SPN is dead and has been for years outside of its hardcore dedicated fan base. Good Omens is just hot right now flash in the pan like Superwholock was years ago and will fade into the background with time.

It's peer reviewed, I swear

(Anonymous) 2019-07-18 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
but have your findings been successfully replicated??

(Anonymous) 2019-07-18 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Duh. They have a photocopier.

It would be if it weren't for the budget cuts
