Um? I have read Oliver Twist and have no memory of a dog, vicious or otherwise. I have seen (a) Oliver Twist and again - have no memory of a dog.

Just say you want the damn dog you want, why worry about the slim possibility of some random person going 'but! that dog was mean in OT!!!!'

Who cares?

Bullseye belonged to Bill Sikes.

No memory of a dog whatsoever.

There was a dog and OP remembers him.

...........not saying their wasn't?

Saying that the number of people who would connect a 'vicious dog in some Oliver Twist movie to OP's possible dog is infinitesimal and who cares if they do, if OP loves their dog?

Yeah, not saying there was no dog, saying that most people probably a) don't know, b) don't remember or c) don't care. So if OP wants a dog like that, they should go for it.

You might be the first person I have met who completely forgot about Bullseye. However I agree that if the breed fits OP's lifestyle (it's not an easy breed!) they should get one and call it Bullseye if they want. They will get a lot of "oh I loved Bullseye in Oliver!" reactions.

I think they're more likely to get a lot of 'oh, the Target dog!' reactions, but either way - get a dog, have fun.

I'd wager not all of your concerns and worries are of international importance, either. Maybe try a little empathy and kindness? It's just a secret, OP didn't make it just to piss you off.

I'm not angry, just wondering why someone would torture themselves over something that will probably never happen, and even if it did....how would it possibly take away from the happiness getting the dog of their dreams would bring?
