She is not supposed to be a good person.

You aren't "supposed" to hate her, but it's fair if you do. Catra is a classic Impure Victim - a realistic survivor of abuse who has bad coping mechanisms and bad baseline assumptions about the world who is now perpetuating the violence she's absorbed.

(I'm not saying all abuse survivors do this. I'm saying some do, it's a realistic thing that happens.)

Personally, I love her a lot. I find it easy to sympathize with her and her pain, even while she does genuinely terrible things. Cycle of violence isn't an excuse - especially when Adora has repeatedly tried to offer her a way out. Ultimately, she's responsible for her own actions. But I understand why she's gone the direction she did.
