I'm instantly wary of people over 50 I run into in MMOGs. I think I've met like ONE who didn't start spamming bullshit from Fox News at me eventually.

I know it's not all older people, but when I learn their age, I always brace myself

I'm over 50 and don't play MMOGs but I think it's fair to be wary if they're always doing that to you.

In my experience, the ones who advertise their age do it so they can use it as a bludgeon against anyone who disagrees with them - they are Old so clearly they are also Right.

I know quite a few very nice older gamers who would never pull that shit, but they're almost universally people I've known for months or years before I knew their age, and it usually came up incidentally.
