What other forum-based sites do you frequent? Anything interesting?

Just Reddit. :/

DA. I love reddit, though. People always talk about what a cesspool it is and I'm just like 'man, you guys must be hitting up the wrong places because mine are chill af'

Oh yeah, I love it too. But one time I shared a link from it and some anon on here whined about how evil it was. Reddit is just like the internet, it has terrible and great places.

Probably someone who's never been there and has only read about it when the media talks about its toxic spaces. I don't use it for fandom, but the crafting forums are great.

Definitely. I love the crochet subreddit.

TBH my problem with Reddit isn't even that it's toxic. I just find it kind of... dull. And generally not nearly as smart as it thinks it is.

Again, depends on where you go.

I wouldn't be in fandom if Reddit weren't around. Tumblr was too messy and often batshit, Twitter makes less else to me as a fandom space. But Reddit is just perfect for me. And all of my fandoms are represented and it's nice seeing some of us in the same subs and getting to know people a little but not having it take over all of my social life.

Tumblr is useless for fandom discussion.

I used to frequent an American Girl forum and it used to be quite fun (with some drama every now and then), but most of the fandom has migrated to Instagram, so the forum’s very quiet these days.

For anyone who likes to discuss TV shows, Primetimer is a good website. Pretty chill discussions, they're well-moderated, and while much of the discussion is around current shows, they do also have forums and sections for older shows as well. They also have sections to talk about movies, music, books, and other random stuff.
