Law and Order SVU makes me terrified to date. To me, it's not Sex and the City out there, it is a high risk gamble to not get raped and murdered. The anxiety from this show makes me fear men, too.

So I do think it's important to recognize that SVU and other crime shows are generally not realistic in their portrayals of crime and/or its prevalence.

It's not SVU, it's social media and men's behavior in general.

The dating among millenials is down in general; People *know* that others have been subjected to ideologies that fuck them over in relationships, be it from gender stereotypes to other things (like men living longer than women in married relationships)...I just see 0 benefit to being in a partnership with anyone, especially a man, despite being attracted to them in theory.

Also, people are working a ton of hours to afford shit apartments and food; Less time to date tbh
