It was surprisingly hot, while also being completely hilarious at the same time, how Crowley watched Mary Poppins once and was like "I will do that." I'm also digging the sub-genre of Aziraphale/Crowley fic where Crowley is still in nanny-form.

(When I first read he book, it didn't occur to me that Nanny Ashtoreth and Mr. Francis - or the subsequent pair of tutors who don't appear in the show - were actually Crowley and Aziraphale in disguise rather than other agents of heaven and hell that they had called upon.)

WHAT TAG SHOULD I BE SEARCHING FOR

Just search fandoms by "Good Omens TV" and pop "nanny" in the 'any field' category.

I don't think they actually were Crowley and Aziraphael in the book, it was just easier to have it that way for TV. Fewer new characters knocking about when they can slip C&A into the same roles.

Nope, they absolutely were Crowley and Aziraphale in the books. It was deliberately subtle but there.

na

No, in the books they weren't. Francis was Saint Francis and Ashtoreth was Ashtoreth who hangs out with Baal.

Thank-you! I also thought that they managed to rope in various affiliated persons from their respective sides to influence the kid without really getting directly involved themselves until the end.
