Sorry mate, but you really need to grow up. How can you live happily as an adult when you're messing up your life as it is? You can't build castles on foundations made of sand. You need to work, hard, so you can hit the ground running. Otherwise you're going to crawl into your twenties with no qualifications and no hope. And then what? You won't get a decent job (since you've shown you can't put effort in), you won't get a career, and you'll be stuck doing dead-end jobs, when everyone else is off to university/college/apprenticeships. And when everyone you knew is living their adult lives, you'll still be stuck on the bottom rung, thinking you can start your education *any day now*...right when you've paid the mortgage, paid the bills, done the shopping...

Finishing high school isn't about the grades. It's about showing that you're able to knuckle down and do hard work. Right now, instead you're just showing that you're unreliable and lazy. Sorry, you have to actually do work as an adult. It sucks, but there are many benefits to it too. Don't destroy your life just because you can't face the fact you're growing up. You'll regret it forever.

A lot of people do a lot better going straight into work and then going into higher education some day in the future when they know what they want to do. Guess what, when you come out of college and try to find a job, there will be a bunch of people who went straight into work out of school and have years of experience you haven't got! Also university doesn't suit everyone, and not everyone has to get stuck in the grind of hard work, some people are happy backpacking around the world, or following their dreams.

Believe me, I've done the 'hiding from life' thing. It never works. Just stand up and be honest with yourself now, before it's too late. Whether it's finishing school or something completely different, get on the fucking ball now, while you still can.
