Good grief it was a pain in the neck to get my tramadol refilled. Neurologist supposedly send in the prescription yesterday. Except pharmacy never got it. Neurologist recent it this morning. Pharmacy didn't get it. Finally got neurologist to fax it and pharmacy finally got it. But now it probably looks like I'm drug-seeking. And meanwhile, I've had to deal with this migraine for days without painkillers.

I wouldn't worry too much about coming off like a drug-seeker so long as:

* you're polite to the pharmacy staff, including the technicians
* you don't try to persuade them to bend rules or policies for you
* you don't blame the in any way for not getting your drugs

It sounds like you're doing the right thing by leaning on your neurologist. Another tip if you're not already doing this - don't get the pharmacy to call your doctor on your behalf, call your doctor yourself and be firm about it.
