Re: Characters you didn't want to find attractive?

I'm an anything that moves person, and noting that a person is attractive is like noting they have a particular style or accent. It's not an existential or emotional crisis to be fixed, and life isn't a fucking romcom.

And they are not real people, they are designed characters. Magnito's sex appeal says more about the cast and crew than my personal values.

If they are real people, again, so fucking what? I'm an adult who can keep it in my pants and the privacy of my own mind. It doesn't demand action or a response.

DA - Nobody here is saying that's invalid, but not everybody feels the same way you do and you seem weirdly hostile about it.

Maybe because I'm sick of the purity folks saying we should feel guilty about finding villains attractive, even when they are cast and staged to be sexy as heck and have been for centuries. If you found Snape (movie) attractive, congratulations, you read the performance like a normal person.

I don't care if anyone finds villains sexy. I'm just tired of hearing about how Tall Dark & Genocidal never did anything wrong and didn't mean anything by it when he beat up those orphans and burned down their orphanage.

Usually when you have a sexy villain the text will say, "don't trust that sexy person just because they're sexy." It's only been a staple of Western art since the Book of Judges and the Odyssey.

Most of us are adults and can question the attractive = good fallacy without self-flagellation.

That's a valid gripe, but nobody is saying that here. Nobody is telling anybody how they should feel, OP simply invited people to talk about how they do feel.
