I have been very lucky because my cat never made big messes! The only thing I can think of is when she kept peeing on her blankets before she eventually passed away. I would wash them and she would pee on them again in less than 8 hours time. This was, like, in a ten-day timespan. Oh! She threw up in three places in my living room in one day and made a tiny poop on the floor (luckily, I was home to witness everything) but even the puke wasn't a major mess. (Her messes were rare and small.) She was very good about going in the litterbox. Never really had any misses, she was such a good girl with that. I miss her.
