You should consider that its possible for something to be ridiculous and still compelling and believable. Gurren-Lagann is not a parody show; it's not a homage a homage or a serious drama or an abstract piece of art, either. Gurren-Lagann it's all of them at the same time. Gainax intended Gurren-Lagann to be a heartfelt story at its core. It takes a traditional narrative structure and uses that structure to tell its own story; you should really try to understand that tropes by themselves mean nothing.

I love Kinon (she's my favorite of the siblings too) and i adore her with Rossiu. I wish I had space to upload my Kinon/Rossiu icon. I make fun of them sometimes (I joke a lot that they have a bomb fetish) but it's only because I love them so much. I think they are the sweetest couple.

Yeah, that's me being the troll there. I know you won't believe it's me again, and there's no way I can prove it, but I wanted to apologize for all that. I'm a shitbag, no doubt.

I still don't agree with the secret and I think the secret maker is really limiting his or her future, but that's a pretty shitty basis for that much wank and it's pretty hypocritical of me too.

The stuff you guys said to me and about me was pretty dead on. I'm still mad at you, because it hurt, but you guys were also kind of right, and I pretty much deserved what you said. I got to thinking about it later on that night, and I felt sort of guilty about it. Yeah, I was all fired up during the wank, but, damn, that was stupid.

I just wanted to say I was sorry. Because I am. I'm a dickheaded douchebag, and no mistake.

err, no offense but Doctor Who is pretty silly really, I mean it's intended to be light-hearted, even with the darker moments. Though that's merely a nitpick, far from my real point.

And why shouldn't you enjoy your cartoons? Animation isn't just for kids, and if she isn't open to a story just because of the media used to tell it, her loss. And yours as well. I love Life on Mars, and I watch plenty of other live-action shows but this is between watching multitudes of anime and, horror of horrors, /western/ cartoons.

130 Complete AUs are all kinds of fun! However, I think it depends on your personal likes and dislikes. I didn't like AUs of HP at ALL, and I can't get enough of them in SGA. I think just like any other fanfiction trend, it's more about the fandom and the reader than it is about the source material.

133 I could see how painful it'd be feeling like you couldn't share on the place you felt most comfortable with, but, whoever you are, there's BOUND to be somewhere on else you can share it, can't there? It's a relatively big fandom...

138 Honestly, Ronon doesn't do much for me, either. Momoa is hot, but I'm just not as interested in the character or the canon stories about him as a lot of the rest of fandom is. I don't think people will care, honestly--how many mainstream fans don't really like *JOHN* that much?

156. I AGREE WITH THIS MOTHERFUCKING COMMENT. Fuck all the Narutards. I've watched Toonami since I was in 4TH GRADE. I grew up with it. Sailor Moon was my gateway drug into anime, specifically the S and SuperS runs on Toonami. I'm a sophomore in college now, and I was very saddened by the announcement that Toonami would be ending.
