I love that he always stayed near Earth. He made sure people were there to watch her died, was there when the nun cats were doing their stuff and called the Doctor, and died to save the new Earth. He really loves this little planet.

Yes, that! I think people who complain about it just don't like their pretty boy... not being pretty anymore. It's a tragic end, but I think it could have been worse.

Lol, yeah Dean called it a meatsuit and IIRC I think a couple of demon characters have called them that in the past.

I don't mind thinking it's Jack; except that, really, I can't think of how to make that work. How the hell does someone who was originally a human end up an enormous head in a jar? Er, no.

Plus it was basically just RTD fucking with the fans for shits and giggles that inspired that line, I'm sure. (Don't know if this has been officially confirmed or not, but I'm positive of it either way.) I really don't think it's been even slightly planned out.

In my headcanon, there can only be so many Facts in the universe. Hence why Boe is dying in "New Earth." He began dying (and sent a message to the Doctor, who took a while to get it because his issues with the regeneration and all) when Bad Wolf!Rose made Jack a Fact. There's a ripple effect through time which causes a lot of timey-wimey stuff to appear in both their histories. (i.e. The "face of Boe," thing, Boe getting pregnant, etc.)

I'd be so thrilled if something like that panned out. Because I'd really like to wonder about where Boe came from, and it would be more interesting if he WASN'T Jack.

Last time I checked, it hadn't been confirmed, so it was probably really just RTD doing evil RTD things.

In my headfanon, Jack's body changes to do the immortality and every death taking a toll on it. Or, which I like better, his body evolved, even though you have to wonder under which circumstances being a huge tentacle head is an evolution.
