156: Yeah, some people forget how long this ran, and that most of the fans are pretty young. So they grew up with it; of course they're gonna be upset it's gone.

too big2: I hated it because we learned nothing of real import, and it put too much emphasis on family/relationships as the most important thing ever... What do these people do for a living? What's going on with the Wizarding government? Who's running Hogwarts? What happened to ______? No, she couldn't tell us everything, but I care about more people than just the Golden Trio (+ Ginny), and it'd be nice to know what happened to some of them. And no, not in interviews Rowling did after the fact. In the actual BOOK.

Seriously. Fruits Basket was really bad, in general, about having tons of homosexual subtext (and text) and then shoving everyone into heterosexual relationships (some of which were totally out of left field), which is one of the things that really pissed me off about the latter part of the series.

That was all the end WAS. Shoving people into heterosexual relationships and then we never see them again. What happened to Momiji? Akito? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW >:|

Yeah, all we really learn from the epilogue is who married whom and what they named their children. Is that interesting? No.

Oh, and we also get little indications that nothing has changed, because the housesystem is still the same, with Slytherins being as alienated from the others as before. Oh, and we learn that Harry is a rather crappy godfather who doesn't want to see his godson more than those four times a week he sees him already, thank you very much. Those things don't make for a happy ending, but rather a depressing one. Makes the whole series feel pointless.
