Re: Huh?

It's a question because to me and clearly to other people here, being like I look down on artists when they do [extremely common and expected thing that happens to every character by every fandom's artists] to [specific character] comes off sounding a little naive, like they didn't expect it to happen for some reason. Or that it's different somehow when it happens to [specific character] and not the rest.

Idk what else to tell you.

Where in the secret does OP say they "look down on artists" and act like it's unexpected? Where do they even imply that this is something that only happens to Rey and no other character? I think you're reading a lot into it that simply isn't there. They find the ARTWORK hilarious and sad and frankly... yeah, I can see this.

For that matter, just because a behavior is common doesn't make it okay. People throw litter on the side of the road all the time instead of disposing of it properly. Is it naive to look down on them? I'm not sure "naive" even makes sense.

mte with the last part. is the implication that the wise thing to do with bad things that are common to not acknowledge that it's happening? huh?

Right? The whole argument of "oh this annoying thing is common and happens a lot so that means that it's somehow silly to be annoyed by it" is just... whut. Because commonplace annoying behavior is no longer annoying when it's commonplace, apparently!

Uh, you DO realize that all those things that are causing you to question the OP actually comes from you and not the secret, right? Like none of that stuff appears in the secret. It's all you, combined with some weirdass logic about how it's suuuper strange for someone to make a secret about a specific character - as if THAT's not a "extremely common and expected thing that happens to every character", LOL!
