Whose Line is it Anyway is a much improved show. It is better with Aisha Tyler. And without Drew Carey.

OG Whose Line is the best, before Drew.

Nope. I think it needs a woman host. It balances things out right. The humor comes off as less sexist when a woman is playing off the male comedians.

I haven't watched since just after Drew took over, but wasn't there a female comedian as well at some point?

There was an occasional episode with a woman, but usually it was four men plus a male host. Now they have a female host, and it works much better. Aisha plays so well off of Ryan and Colin. It just works perfectly.

DA

I'm just having a hard time remembering Ryan and Colin ever being sexist...

The way they sometimes talk about women in their humor is pretty sexist. Drew was worse, and they were worse when they were playing off him. But they do it too.

I only ever watched the one with Clive Anderson hosting. I don't remember it being sexist. And I remember it having female troupe members.

Yes, I remember it being shown here in the USA. Sandi Toksvig and Josie Lawrence are the two that I recall.

Hmmmm. Okay. I never watched the British one. Just the American one. And the American one only occasionally had women on. And there were a lot of sex jokes. And the sex jokes were mostly pretty sexist until Aisha came on. Now they are more likely to play off her and it ends up being funnier for it.

I don't disagree about Aisha but I think Ryan and Colin were a little funnier when they were younger.

the only person on Whose Line I really disliked was Clive. He must be the world's only Brit with no sense of humor.

I completely disagree, Aisha has very poor report with the guys (and girls) of the show, and while I stopped watching not too long after it came back on air, it was mostly because I didn't like how much she overdid everything. She was like a walking advertisement for the show while I was watching it, and she seemed really false with her over enthusiasm.
Of course things might have gotten better since then, but I really don't have much interest in watching it anymore. Thinking she's better for the show just because she's a girl, (so things seem less sexist? It really wasn't in the first place.) is in pretty bad taste, imo.
