in general. In the comics before the new 52 they tease the possibility of developing their father/son relationship during kon superboy comic but in the end nothing comes of it (it shows that Lex is evil and don't really care for Kon....). The cartoons follow a similar thing of teasing the relationship but it always end with Kon realizing that lex is evil and that he doesn't want nothing to do with Lex. And now in the new 52 and rebirth Kon has another backstory so is no use really.
