For me, it's more that pressuring creative staff into a big gay reveal late in the series isn't good rep or a good direction for activism, contrary to what tinhatters and shippers claim regarding making stuff canon.

Is this a general statement or in regards to TotC specifically? Is there a character that was only revealed/made gay later in the series due to pressure on the creative team?
