I'm with you there on Shun's gender. It's like "Voltron did it so we're gonna do it too!" and no. Just no. I'd even go on a long ass rant about it but I'm really busy right now. The only thing I'm glad is that it seems that Shun being a girl is a widely disliked decision. If they wanted more female characters they should have brought in more Marin, Shaina or hell, SAORI, THE GIRL THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FIGHTING FOR.

I would’ve loved to see more of Marin and Saori. Shun’s gender change really pissed me off. He was my favorite as a kid because he was a boy with a sweet nature and I didn’t really see male characters like that in the other shows I watched.
