I'm going to go the other way on this, actually. Unless there's some specific AO3 rule against it that I'm not aware of, or something, I don't think that AO3 *should* discriminate between various kinds of fanwork. Fans should be able to post stuff like that on AO3. I don't like it either, but it's not really up to you or me to make that determination.

I do think AO3 should make it as easy as possible to filter that stuff out. But I'm really not comfortable with drawing that line between what should and should not get posted on AO3.
