I would much rather have the wishes. Most of the magic I remember from Harry Potter is pretty domestic stuff, which is fine and all, but I could just wish for enough money that I could pay someone to do the housework? And then I'd still have money to travel with and give to charity and stuff, but the wand? What can I do with a magic wand that would change my life, without letting everyone know I have a magic wand?
