I don't read fanfic, but I do write it.

I just don't want to have to slog through pages and pages of bad writing, poor grammar and dodgy spelling to find gold and that's fine. Maybe I'm missing out, maybe I'm not.

Same here. I vastly prefer writing fanfic to reading it.

Fics that are highly rec'd and extremely popular tend to just not be my cup of tea. Which sucks because I really want to enjoy more of other people's fics. Sometimes I wonder if I'm not just overly picky.

I will occasionally read and have some favorites but I'd much rather just write. I guess I just find my own ideas more interesting.
