Well, I survived round one with the inspector; he took a bunch of pics and some measurements and is gonna run them by “the chicken guy,” and if the chicken guy says it’s okay, or if stuff needs changing, he’ll call, but there’s also a possibility that chicken guy needs to come in person.

If he does, they’ll come by later this week. Hopefully I’ll know by tomorrow. The inspector did notice the bees, which... sigh. I just got a new job so in a couple months I should be able to hire someone to come take them out of the wall, but unless I tear the whole room down, they’ll probably be back. They always have before. Bees can apparently smell honey and bee homing pheromones right through a wall, and if they smell even a trace of homey hive smell, will chew through walls to set up shop.
