I found most of that confrontation scene really underwhelming but that part in particular... cringeworthy. Cheap costuming, ridiculous eye make up and just randomly waving around a flaming sword like a circus performer who's practicing. And why is Pollution wearing a tracksuit?

Pollution isn't wearing a track suit, that's actual road gear. You can even see the reinforced plating at the joints. They're all wearing legitimate gear.

The costuming department could've easily gotten away with putting the Horsemen in something else, because they're personifications of ideals who probably don't have to worry about leaving half their skin on the road if they wipe out, but it was a neat touch.

LOL

Hear, hear. It was dreadful on so many levels.

(Anonymous) 2019-08-01 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
It was dumb, yeah, but I also kinda liked it for some reason.

It looked like a really shit Cirque du Soleil act...

Yup, this is fair. Honestly, I liked Good Omens, and thought it was mostly quite good, but pretty much everything involving effects of any kind was impressively bad. Like, the kind of bad I would expect from a TV show in 2002. Like, it was almost a good thing the effects were so bad, because they managed to go beyond "bad effects" and all the way into "effects so bad they're kind of endearing."
