And in digging a little more, the VA offers home-based care, as well. Like anything with the government, it requires somebody doing the legwork and all that crap. It's referenced here: https://www.va.gov/GERIATRICS/Guide/LongTermCare/Skilled_Home_Health_Care.asp

Thanks, i'll send the links on. The biggest problem is money to drive anywhere, and that my friend can't actually *drive* anywhere.

But maybe after she (hopefully) gets the surgery......

I'm not sure about TRICARE or their hospitals, but sometimes there're programs that'll help with transport to/from medical care. Definitely a lot of things to try to unsnare, sadly, but hopefully those links help at least a tiny bit.
