I'm a feminist. I agree there should be more women representation in the media and care about women's characterisation. It rubs me the wrong way when people bring up the 'internalised misogyny' thing when it comes to ff. I find it infantalising and frankly sexist in itself. People have all kinds of reasons for reading/writing slash ff. Accusing women who read m/m slash fic as having 'internalised misogyny' could be argued as being insulting to their sexuality. just let women get off on what they want to get off on!
To me, internalised misogyny is women who do things to actively go against other women and don't understand why other women would be upset about it ie; the women who appear at Trump rallies (despite his known sexism). Most women don't care about ff. It's not actively hurting them in their day to day lives.
