Yeah, this. I mean, it's not that the CGI isn't bad, it's just that the cats in Cats are uncanny valley from a standing start, and pretty much all CGI looks weird to me, so it doesn't really add anything extra to the general uncanniness. I would have preferred if they did practical costumes, but I'm not overly fussed because so many things use CGI now and it pretty much never looks quite right, so I just roll with it.
