Not OP, but nah, in this case I think the secret maker should've spared a thought for the optics of the secret they made. I think they knew the secret was going to stir up shit, and if they didn't they should have. It's a pretty predictable response from this place.

The person who actually made the comment didn't seem aware of the "optics", why would anyone else know it'd result in wanky comments? And frankly, I don't think either the original comment or the secret made from the comment was racist. Just saying you hope a live action adaptation flops isn't racist. Other people assumed the OP wanted it to flop because the movies feature POC, but that's their interpretation. There's nothing about that in the comment or the secret.
