Ooooh, I was there, too for Bleach! And even three years later, there is STILL salt about the "practically canon" ship not being canon despite all the 70 page essays that were little more than Ichihime bashing disguised as meta on Bleachness that said otherwise, LMAO.

That ship war is, ironically, the reason I kinda got into crack shipping. I mean, Bleach has a cast list into the hundreds, why limit that to just two pairings to fight over. And when I say crack, I do mean crack as in "shit I'd probably be flamed for today by Tumblr Purity Standards." xD
