I hate Owen, but I don't care if other people like him. What I've noticed is that when Owen fans get butthurt and say "WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE HIM OMGZ?" that this is when everyone starts jumping in to remind you that he's a rapist. Because he is.

I don't care if you like him anyway. That's okay. I can't deal with rapists. But I am a fangirl of somebody who steals other people's brains. I get that this is a valid reason for people to not like him and I don't go, "OMG WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE SYLAR?" I know why people hate Sylar. Owen fans...should know why people don't all adore him, too.

It's okay if you like the rapist. Really.

But if you act like everyone's nuts because they don't share your like for the rapist, they're going to remind you that he's a rapist, cause that's something most people do not like.

Nobody in this particular thread said anything remotely resembling "omg why does everyone hate him?" and yet they were still jumped on.

I very much do not appreciate how often you felt the need to use the term "the rapist" in your response. I can only take that as an attempt to change my opinion of him, which isn't going to happen. I don't see him as a rapist, and what you're doing is very much Not Friendly.

I recognize people don't like him, and I don't care. I'm not going to try to change their minds, and I don't appreciate them trying to change mine.
