It portrayed a rapist as a character the audience is meant to sympathize with (I've already seen plenty of people argue The Deep didn't rape Starlight and that he's someone to root for, something that would not happen if the show actually did try to treat the situation seriously and then not veer into a weird territory of making the Deep pitiable and sympathetic) and the fanbase for the show is wildly populated by dudebros. Also it's heavily implied the relationship with Homelander wasn't consensual either, and if it was, it basically makes the wife look like "an evil cheating whore" (already seen the fandom call her that as well), but keep convincing yourself this show is super feminist if it makes you feel less guilty about liking problematic drek.

That's not even mentioning that the first fridged woman was a WOC whom only exists to get fridged and whom the MC promptly gets over for a white girl.
