I thought his storyline re: vengeful murder all over the globe was pretty fucking stupid, but I will never not like Hawkeye or Jeremy Renner. That's just another bit of canon that never happened.

Yes to all of those except Steve's "language" because I'm with whoever headcanon'd it to mean "We're on television stop fucking swearing... shit... fuck! ... dammit" Only instead of the endless cascade of misspeaks they shortened it to "Language" because otherwise it would never end.

They were on television? I don't remember that.....

I just never liked it. He was in the Army. He might not have approved of cursing in front of women or 'superiors', but having 'the troops' cuss...well, that's war.
