Haha, I went into the films expecting little and I just loved the fact that Radagast was in them at all. At large, though, I'll agree that the adaptation choices were less than fortunate. Lindsay Ellis' dissection offered a lot of conceivable explanation for those, almost all of which had little to do with actual storytelling :/
