I don't think I could possibly agree with you more, OP. Like you said, I understand the decision to make a few changes and add a few scenes/characters that weren't in the books, but the way they did it was, for the most part, straight-up awful. It felt like Radagast was just there to be a walking poop joke, and I especially hated the part where he smokes the "pipeweed" and gets high, as seen in the image used in your secret. It was such a cheap, stupid joke that was done to death decades ago. I remember cringing so hard when I saw it in the theater. It was just utterly ridiculous, as was most of the humor in the movie. By the time it was over I decided not to waste my money or time on seeing the rest of the series.

All of this. I was so disappointed in the 'Hobbit' movies.
