Honey, stop a moment. A think. Fanservice is not necessarily bad. Feminism is one thing, not wanting to be seen as simply a vehicle for sex is definitely one thing, but then going entirely in the other direction and believing any nod to sexuality is suddenly cheapening any female- that if one shows up in a bikini or something, OH MY GOD IT'S HORRIBLE LOOK AT THIS SEXISM- ... no. Acknowledging sexuality as part of you as a person is not a bad thing. Acknowledging other people as sexual creatures is not a bad thing. I like seeing female characters in outfits like that, and I sure as hell don't believe for one moment that it makes me a bad feminist. I'm not objectifying the characters as simply being about sex or their bodies, but I don't see anything wrong with acknowledging that it is part of a character.
There would be no complaints about a male showing up simply wearing a swimsuit, or naked with his sexual organs tastefully covered. That isn't sexist or objectifying. Why, then, is it so horrible to do the same for women?
