This doesn't happen to me all the time but occasionally my brain will throw in like a mini-bus in the middle of a dream about WoW but the best part is NO ONE QUESTIONS IT, until I wake up and them I'm like 'the fuck' because Middle-Earth had a cinema.

But that shit also like tickles the fuck out of me when I'm awake so it doesn't piss me off.

I'm kind of the opposite... Most of the time when I imagine settings for fanfiction or original fic, they're not contemporary settings. They're either historical, or set in a time period where there are cars, etc. but not cell phones or smart phones.
