10 is 100000000% a Gryffindor. Absolutely 100%. Maybe Hufflepuff as a fallback I guess.

11 is probably Huff but maybe Ravenclaw. 13 is Huff. 12 and 9 IDK they're harder to sort.

I'd say 10 wants to be a Gryffindor. But he still ultimately chooses people and loyalty over anything else. 12 I'd say starts out as a Ravenclaw because he forgets for a while and is just about the knowledge, but he remembers and ends up a Huff.

I don't think that loyalty qua loyalty is in itself enough to make someone a Hufflepuff. If it were, most of the protags in the series would be Huffs.

Harry and co would choose mission over people. That's a Gryffindor thing. Most of the Doctors would choose people over cause/mission. All the modern Doctors would. That's a Hufflepuff.

I think I disagree with everything here! Funny how that goes sometimes. I don't agree that mission vs people is the distinguishing line between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. I would think of it more as bravery vs security and solidity and acceptance, with Gryffindors being much more accepting of risks and Hufflepuff being much more interested in security (I think you can also approach this elementally where Gryffindor is aligned with fire, Hufflepuff = earth [Ravenclaw = air, Slytherin = water]), and I think 10 is clearly more about fire and risk-taking and boldness and fiery-ness and all the rest of that. Of course you can't boil it down to any one quality.

I also think there are tons of times where Harry et al do go out of their way to do things that are more moral or help people they care about even if they aren't the most cold-hearted, rational choices to make.

Harry and co. literally see Montague's parents arrive because he's been missing for weeks and decide not to tell anyone any information because it'll make Umbridge look worse (Harry), disinterest (Ron) and not wanting to go against the group (Hermione). I wouldn't see them going out of their way to be moral there, that's a purely political decision.
